Minis of the world?
Just wondering, after seeing MiniIrelands African Clubman for sale its the first I'v ever heard of a Mini coming from Africa! I'v heard of Aussie Minis aswell so how many different countries did Minis come or were they just juiced up in different countries and were just imported? Also, what are the differences and what models come from these different countries? Any information on this subject would be great or even websites. Thanks.

Hi Stan
Minis and other Rover related cars were built in Dublin,
If you have had a look at the facts and figures page on the wed site posted, the building in the picture at the top of the page was situated on the Nass road at bluebell. This is oppsited Macdonalds (Volkswagon Cross) where home base is. I think its called Livery Park. They also had a plant at Isle Bridge (where the town houses are now on the corner) and one other place was the everyready plant on the way down the canal at Rathmines (Portobello).

I think it was the South Africa plant that built the mini with a boot like a hornet but with a standard mini front end

Sound for all the comments lads. I never know there was any Irish plants. I had a flick through all the different links that have been left on this thread and I think its safe to say a nice bit of history learned. Thanks again
