THE CAR


1977 leyland mini 1000, first registered 25th november 1977, ziebarted from new ,with 7 previous owners,not bad for 33 years,

EXTERIOR
6x10 genuine revolutions with yoko A008 rubber , gp 2 (i think arches), bullett mirrors ,60's lucas reversing lamp, mk2 rear lamps ,chrome number plate lamp and door escutcheons,chrome bumpers,and grille, and last but not least ,THE 1 ITEM THAT MADE ME BUY THIS PARTICULAR CAR THE BEAUTIFUL WEBASTO ROOF......

INTERIOR
COBRA monaco S leather front buckets with matching rears, black cards, chrome rear view mirror, alloy gear knob,alloy handbrake grip ,rokee wooden dash, with rev counter,oil pressure temperature and a hole for a volt meter, alloy racing pedals and door furniture, internal bonnet release.....

ENGINE
998cc (FOR NOW)minispares plumbed heated inlet manifold, MG rocker cover with chrome buttons,chrome oil filler cap,K+N air filter, rear engine steady, gearbox steady ,lucas gold coil,auxillary fuse box.....

EXHAUST
LCB manifold and single box centre exit upswept RC40

BRAKES
FRONT
cooper 7.5 discs ,AP callipers ,Goodridge braided hoses ,EBC green stuff pads ,later type hubs ,carriers ,cv joints ,and drive shafts....all taken from an 8.4 brake setup
REARS
new cylinders ,new brake shoes ,longer studs in the hubs ,later type 1 inch spaced drums, braided rear hoses..
OVERVIEW
the system has been converted from single line to twin using a "YELLOW TAG" brake master cylinder ,all copper brake lines under the car (front and rear ) have been replaced ,and dot 5.5 brake fluid used giving a lovely feel to the braking system.l


SUSPENSION
HI-los front and rear ,1.5 degree negative camber bottom arms, adjustable tie rods ,adjustable rear camber brackets, poly-bushed front and rear subframes, poly bush bump stops,poly rebound buffers,new front balljoints, GAZ 36 point adjustable shocks...

WILL ALSO GET A RESPRAY AT SOME STAGE

cool, just wonderin cos got one the same wit my 79! the astrilli ones are nice i have one of them and 2 mountney one spare!!

think the steering wheel is from a 1275 gt..

car looks great si, love the seats...
any plans for the future or the vag really taken over lol!!!
If ya can't fix it with a hammer, its an electrical problem!

will get stuck into the mini again in the summer, the van is an on going thing as its my daily driver and the wife has a 130tdi passat

i like the wee number plate on the front. I've the same on mine. By the way you may notice that the camras at the tolls can't read it right and charge you the motor bike fee pluss the one on the M50 can't pick it up at all :mrgreen:

Thanks mate, going over to the darkside of vw for a while, something with softer suspension and a little more practical and something colette can use aswell,hope to have it the end of next week, but yes i will have another (real 127GT) HOPEFULLY next year all going well....... :D
