Re: 13s or 12s
Was just wondering
Re: 13s or 12s
I would recommend 12s as 13 ware down the bearings faster their also hard on the hubs too i should know 2 new hubs and bearings and drive shaft. I have no problem with 12s ever since. As for the ride I find the 12s are better. Less bumpy also better for handling.

Re: 13s or 12s
10's All the way in my opinion.......
I've owned minis with all different wheel sizes and they all have thier advantages but i must say i personally have never felt a mini on 13's has driven as well as a mini on 10's or even 12's. However i must stress this is only an opinion or personal choice and nothing else.

Re: 13s or 12s
I have 13's at the moment on my mini and they have slowed her down quite a bit. With the 12's she could hit 90 without a problem .13's I find the steering is heavier but I find the bumps less bumpy with 13's. I had 12's last year and driving over a ramp was like smashing into a wall?! I found 12's bumpy..
I prefer the 13's...(Mainly because of there look)

Re: 13s or 12s
i drove neashas with the 13's on it and it felt very heavy, now i have the 12x6's on mine i found it the width that does that
just my opinion but i think 12's look better than the 13's

Re: 13s or 12s
I agree the 13's on nesha's mini look cool.. And i can understand the 13's would be a lot better on the speed ramps. Like i said each wheel size has the advantages. Luckily there not a whole lot of ramps round my way and my mini is not a daily driver so not too worried about comfort, speed and handling is more important to me. However i am building a daily driver van and that will be on 13's but there is a few reasons for that...

Re: 13s or 12s
If u find the steerin heavy get rid of them, there very hard on the splines on the colum. I ve replaced a number of colums for people all with the same wheels. U ll go to turn into a corner and find nothin will happen, scary!!
Re: 13s or 12s
have to agree 13's are a disaster they distroy every thing in its way 12's are good but if ya want the ultimate mini ride i have to say gareth is right 10's are the way to go if ya want the go-kart sensetation as joe found out the night we went out in the clubman

Re: 13s or 12s
Well everything considered I'll prob go with 12x6 I love the deep dish look any ya just don't get that with the smaller one and I aslo love superlight on minis and also you can't get them small ether
Re: 13s or 12s
I'd pick 12's over 13's if I was starting from scratch purely for the handling, I'm a sportpack owner and although I wouldn't change mine for anything as they are gorgeous but the handling and particularly the understeer can be a nightmare. I haven't had any bad experience of undue wear and tear but then again steering geometry was changed for sportpacks.
