Re: v-tec
Hi Jim,
Best site for all the infor on 16v conversiions is http://www.16vminiclub.com/
here you can get an idea of the work involved, the cost and the issues people have.
Rob or "Backfire" on Miniresource has had 2 Vtec minis so Im sure he could help you. If I remember correctly both of his have used the watsons kits which can be found here http://www.watsonsrally.co.uk/
hope this is of some help?
regards, Mark

Re: v-tec
ive been pondering the same question...
you might also look at:

and
http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/in ... wforum=164
im leaning towards using a honda D series engine, and this kit:
http://vtec.minimania.com/honda-d-mini- ... n-kits.cfm
i like the ides of the car *not* looking any different from the outside.
I know of one engine conversion currently being built, but he's not using a honda engine AFAIK.

Re: v-tec
From speaking to Rob (backfire on MR) when he had his one, its VRT's as a 1.6 or 1.8 honda depending on the engine fitted and its insured as the same
