You're very welcome on here and thanks for putting that question to us.
Below is an excerpt from the MTM criteria.....
The event is open to Classic Minis and Classic Mini derivatives only and we would ask the participants to note the following............
.............. We are particularly interested in having as many different Mini derivatives such as Riley Elfs, Wolseley Hornets, Mokes, Commercials etc. taking part in MTM 2010.
I'm not saying yay or nay but, personally, I feel that a Metro (albeit a lovely car) is not a classic Mini or deriviative as defined by Classic Mini.
However, the IMOC committee are meeting on Saturday so perhaps they can issue a decree on this matter and inform us?????

Re: MTM 2010 - Official Launch
I've an idea.....
We all know that when we drive through a town or stop in a filling station (for Mick Glennon to fill up again.) the fact we are in a flock of minis we get lots of attention. However last year the car that seemed to get most of the attention was not the old mk1's or max'd out minis etc but a certain 2 lads who were dressed up as a Dog and a Donkey. It addd a bit of fun to the day.
So how about making it a bit of a fancy dress day too. We could even have a small prize for the best dressed. Could be a bit of a laugh.
Who fancies it? We coul get Paul Glennon to dress up as a bottle of Mustard again and maybe his passenger as a bottle of Ketchup. Ha ha haha.....
We could have Cop's And Robbers, Batman And Robbin, etc......I'm not giving you any ideas...

Tony, ye couldn't have pushed the date back to later in May? Steven can't drive all his mini's at it, I'd be willing to help him with one only there's a mater of a thesis due a few days after the run

Re: MTM 2010 - Official Launch
Brendan,
Your MTM2010 team took several weeks to decide upon setting a date for this years event.
The current date was chosen because IMM takes place later in May and some members will be attending that.
We looked at runnnig it later in the season but there are so many events happening that it would have clashed with something.
Hopefully, Steven & Fiona will make it along with one of thier Minis
