Re: towing mpi
your question doesnt make sense ,do you want to know how to tow a car....
you will need 1 of these

or you could tie a rope around the subframe but you run the risk of damaging the bottom of the front panel, it can be done with an a frame which attaches to the steering arms ,not the best idea in the world as the mini is so short and so close to the towing vehicle it tends to drag and skip out on corners and roundabouts ,best bet is to get a trailer/transporter ,sme of the lads on here have them or you can rent from the likes of indespension in finglas.....

Simon As far as i am aware all MPI Minis were fitted with towing eyes on the front from new. And an A frame is meant to connect to the bottom arms not to the steering arms. They work perfectly well even though the mini is so short as it is the length of the A frame that sets the distance of the towing car and this is no different towing a mini.
However i believe your question relates to the tow starting of a mini? Am a correct? If so why do you need to tow it? Tow starting any car should always be a last resort.

this is the way it use to be done:

mind you, unless its a *very* small elephant, the elephant handler looks big enuff to pull the car on his own
