Ah thats good. Thankfully wasnt a lot worse. Still, a right pain. Best for Stan to get back out on the road as quick as possible otherwise he will start fretting when he has to drive again.

The Guards are understandably only interested when someone is hurt. Unless of course someone rings them and says the driver of the other car was an unaccompanied learner, had no tax or NCT, was driving too close etc etc.

The last time I was involved in a tip was about 10 years ago. I was driving around a roundabout, this guy came straight onto the roundabout and hit my wing. We both pulled in, signed a bit of paper to say we were both OK (no imaginary sore necks etc) and he accepted responsibility. No guards, no insurance, no hassle. He rang me the following day to find out how much he owed me (£100) and he called over that night with the bobs and a bottle of whiskey.
