Re: Maxis 1275gt (not dialup friendly)
just wondering a few things... maybe yourself or paul can enlighten me...
fuel injected??
whats the smallest/biggest boe size ca ya go??
do you have to modify the engine bay for it to fit in either the roundnose or clubbie??
what sort of power gains compared to a engine with the same bore, is there much of a difference??
just curious about the set-up in general
maxi, what sort of brakes you going for??
btw i love the project, id say when i see your car next, i won't be able to stop drooling!!!

If ya can't fix it with a hammer, its an electrical problem!

Yepfuel injected??
11 (translation dunno) the 8 valve will worked on a 850 bored +0.120" all the way up to 74mm the biggest bore an A series will take.whats the smallest/biggest boe size ca ya go??
not sure about the roundnose, but theres no body mods for Benny / on a round nose you need to remove to parts of the bonnet brace but other wise they fit straight in.do you have to modify the engine bay for it to fit in either the roundnose or clubbie??
i'll let Paul field this one.../ that is almost imposable to answer accurate as it is only one part of an engine, in basic terms you will be looking at between 20 and 30% more power on the same engine with ever other component the same, do remember lads Maxi has not gone for this conversion in the pursuit of more power that a 5 port he has gone this route so he can have the same power as a very racey five port but all the drive ablity of an almost standard enginewhat sort of power gains compared to a engine with the same bore, is there much of a difference??

Re: Maxis 1275gt (not dialup friendly)
One downside of that glorious engine, Maxi, the washer reservoir looks decidedly shabby beside it!! I reckon a carbon fibre replacement is called for.

Re: Maxis 1275gt (not dialup friendly)
I'd say Joe Murry might be able to make him a nice stainless steel one.
