MTM 2010 - Official Launch

OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF MTM 2010:

The 12th annual Mizen Head to Malin Head Mini Run (MTM) will take place on the weekend of 7th-9th May 2010 .
The run itself will take place on Saturday 8th May.

Full details of the event along with rally entry forms are now available online at our special MTM2010 webpage here http://www.irishminis.ie/events/mtm/index.htm

Block bookings have been made with hotels, at very keen rates, close to each end of the route.

Once entry forms & fees are returned to me then accommodation options, costs, booking proceedures etc. will be dispatched to you.
The discounted accommodation will be on a first come first served basis so please book your entry early to avoid disappointment

REMEMBER - IMOC Members are entitled to the special club rate entry fee for MTM2010.

In the 11 times that MTM has been run since 1999, Malin has only twice ever been the starting point, in 2007 and 2008.

i started from wexford last year and will do again in 2010. i will be meeting any UK entries arriving in rosslare for the run, so anybody who wishes to join our mini convoy fell free to tag along.

If you want to save on postage, then I'll be at the Clonsilla Inn on Sun 3rd Jan for our annual club dinner/quiz, where you can hand your completed entryform & fee to me personally.

Thanks to those of you who gave me your MTM 2010 entry forms at the New Years Dinner today.
Nice to see a few first time MTM'ers signed up for the experience.

So, to all those of you out there who are gagging to do MTM 2010, pop your skates on (it's the weather for it!)and get those entry forms filled in and back to me at the MTM Operations Room.........
(I noticed Joe Conboy sneeking out from the table quiz early to meet Tommy Commanne halfway along the VERY interesting MTM route that they have plotted for us!!!)

For those of you who have given/sent me forms, I'll get your receipts and accommodation booking details to you during the week.

Hi there smur89,

As with previous runs, MTM2010 will be a fun and relatively inexpensive weekend event thanks to the special deals that we have been able to organise with those involved in helping us stage the event.

- Are you an IMOC member?
If you are then entry for the MTM is €50 for the car (this covers a limited breakdown service, route books, finishers awards etc)
You will also be able to join us at any other IMOC organised event throughout the year for free.

- Not in the IMOC?? Entry fee is €60

Accommodation costs for MTM2010 are VERY reasonable.
In fact, I can honestly say, that you probably won't get the extremely discounted rates anywhere else that we have been able to achieve for hotel rooms.

In around 100 euro for hotels for both nights. Petrol I would gess around the same. (except for Mick glennon who last year caused Ireland to have a fuel shortage for the weekend) then you got food. In which case if you eat like macker you may re morgage your house. Trust me one of the best runs of the year and you got a perfect car for it dude.

Further to the above post about accommodation costs for MTM2010, we have been able to achieve an overall better rate for rooms this year over last year.

Anyone who participated last year and stayed at the hotels each end of the run will be aware of what they paid.
Once you return your entry form/fee, you wil recieve accommodation options, costs and booking proceedures.

Cheers lads, Ill more than likely be there. Ive just about paid off the loan i took out to get the mini, so all should be good anyway. Sent off my IMOC membership form today, its been sitting on the kitchen table nearly a week now, so its about time!
