Rear Wheel

Post by Giovanni »

Hi Guys
Last night I was changing the alloys on my 88 Mini when suddendly one of bolts attached to the disc of my right wheel came off broken from rust.

I need to buy a new disc now, what would you recommend? Stay with the old system or upgrade it?
Any website to buy it cheap?

Thanks
Giovanni

I would think that it is the stud that protudes out through the disc that is broken. These are cheap to get but if you could put up a picture it would help.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

Yep just a stud, easy enough to fix and replace, drift out the old one with a punch and hammer, buy new one, put through bolt hole and using the wheel nut pull the stud into place, you may need a bigger nut to use as a spacer as the wheel nut might not reach down the stud all the way.

Nope, no disc on the rear, at least I think so, is a 88 mini
I will try to follow GTM advise, the last time I looked at it it was 7pm and I couldn't see much

Below what I was thinking to buy if I had to replace all of it, would that fit?

The one you have shown is for a earlier cooper model (i.e. 7.5" disc) I dought your 88 has these, more likely the 8.4" version, looks similar however the drive flange is a seperate piece.
