I got it about 2 months ago from a Lorraine up in Ayrfield. Was saying she goes out on runs etc, not sure if she meant irishminis.ie or miniclub.ie though!

Welcome to the forum smur89. No shortage of opportunities to show off your Mini. This morning (too late, I know) there was a run from Carrickmines. There's a New Years Lunch in the Clonsilla Inn on Sunday Jan 3rd and a few of the club's Western Region will be supporting a run on in Athlone this coming Wednesday.

The Eastern Region of the IMOC meets up on the 2nd Sunday of the month at the Clonsilla Inn for a meeting and usually a run if the weather permits.

Keep an eye on the Events section of this forum and you won't go wrong.

ThanksKerry,
Its very clean, very little rust. Am thinking of getting the rust taken care of over the summer, just to be sure and to stop it becoming an issue. Overall very happy with it though!

Had to get new brakes all around and a new back box fitted to it when i bought it. but its all sorted now!

My old baby....... I LOVED that car........ Hence the WX reg.... I'm to blame for that one....

I bought it with like 14000 miles in Dorset in England off a couple who had to sell it as she was pregnant and they were gonna have to do a garage convertion in the house and they would not let the car be in the rain..... They only used it at weekends and Babied it.... They went mad when they found out i was driving it home and down the M4 as they had never had it out in the rain and never used it on a motorway. They were that fussy they had a spare alarm fob got for it so they could hide one in the car in case the battery went dead when out for the day. So there should be 3 alarm fobs in total and 2 sets of keys. I bought it in late 2005 i think. (should be in the history folder) and then in late 2006 found out my wife was pregnant so had to sell as she was using as every day runner.... (so beware your girlfriend could be pregnant soon that car brings that kinda luck) Sold it to Lorraine (did you see her tattoo?) around early 2007 i think. The Moorepark Motors Stamp in service book is my brothers garage as his lads serviced it for me.

So So So miss that car....... Favorite mini i ever had..... Can't wait to see it at next run.

Thats pure madness Gareth!

Its only got the 2 alarm fobs, the 3rd one musta gone missing or is very well hidden in the car!
No, Lorraine didnt show me her tattoo, though she did show me her mini! really nice one she has!

At the moment its just pushing 49000 on the clock.

Have you gotten another mini in the meantime?

She's being well looked after, dont worry!

nice collection there Gareth!

Nah the fobs deffo not in there, Lorraine did mention she had gotten stuck out and about more than once in it because the battery in the fob died. She mustve lost the 3rd one or something.

Ive gotten stuck in it a few times, but not because of the fob! the leads going to the terminals on the battery arent snug, and have jammed a screw in there to make it fit more snug - but still doesnt have a great connection. Have to get out and jiggle the wires in the boot to get it going. Hasnt happened in a few days now, butwas very regular before jamming the screw in!
