New Years lunch and table quiz.

There will be a New Years Lunch in the Clonsilla Inn on Sunday 3rd January at 1.00 followed by a fun table quiz.All members and would be members are invited to come along and enjoy the first event of the year,catch up with old friends and make plans for the year ahead.There will be loads of prizes and don't worry,Billy is not setting the quiz this year.

That mini was owned by a guy living near me called Kenny. Then Sold To A Girl in north wicklow whos older sister is a friend of Jill and Maxi i believe. Then when she went to uni she sold it and Niall (exworks) bought it and transformed it into Stobart...... Then He Sold It and it has been seen for sale in various places since.

With the weather and road conditions so bad in Leinster and especially high/western areas of Dublin, will the IMOC New Years dinner be happening?

I think members will have to give an update on the road conditions. I was jusat talking to Billy and the roads are fine down his way. Here in Maynooth they are bad, yesterday the M4/N4 had not been gritted and was 40kph all the way to liffey valley.

I am assuming the event is still on, but if people can post around 19.00 this evening on he conditions of the main road and those around Consilla, we can make a better judgement call.

Shankill / Bray / Greystones area is bad enough at the moment but the sun is out and most of the ice is melting!

As Zak said,could people post up the condition of the roads in their area but at this stage it looks like this will be postponed for a week as it is not worth taking a chance and risk people having a tip trying to make it to this.

Unless there's 2 foot of snow overnight, I will be travelling up from Co. Cork as I need to collect a Mini anyway. The roads are fine around here and talking to Joe Conboy earlier, the main roads are fine in Co. Sligo. I have another lad on from Meath a while ago and the main roads are fine around there as well.

There's no pressure to bring a Mini to the NY lunch so if you're more comfortable in a modern car, that's fair enough.

I'm at my brothers house in Laois and roads too bad today to travel home. Would be passable but not worth the risk. Said we'd just stay by the fire and open a couple of bottles of wine. I'll see how the roads are in the morning and might spin by clonsilla on way home but have to say if we put it off for a week we might end up with a better attendance.

Sister -in- law drove up from Longford this afternoon M4 now fine. I was out this afternoon main roads around Maynooth fine but the estates vary.

As Billy is swapping cars with me tomorrow, I'll also be heading to Consilla tomorrow.
