Hi All

We are still on for the Christmas Turkey Run on Sunday 27 . If the weather is still VERY bad I have a alternative route planned, however as ALL minis are front wheel drive I am sure we are not afraid of a little bit of snow !

Hope to see you all on Sunday 27 December

Merry Christmas

Please don't forget that as with all official IMOC-organised events, all entrants must be paid-up club members. Day membership is available for 5 Euros.

It would be safer to pay the fee. Like Joe said its just for insurance, if the popo arrived with there blues and tunes because of an innocent caused by 10, 20 odd Minis we would just be asking for trouble! After all it is just 20 quid for the year, speaking of which can someone get there hands on a membership form now I can actually attend the events in my own Mini!

as far as i can see its an open an shut case, if its a club event its run under club rules which will make it safer and happier for everybody.

Hi Ciaran, the reason that this rule is in place is for your protection and the IMOC's protection because in the times that we are in at the moment if you run an event and 10/20 minis are out on a run, this is an event and if there is an accident then the solicitors will come after the organisers and without public liability insurance they will take you to the cleaners. The reason there is a day membership for €5 is it allow everyone on the event to be members of the club on that given day and so covering them in the insurance policy. Also we are not a money making club and the annual fee of €20 reflects this as we have always been mindful our members when setting this and that €20 goes to help in the running costs of this club. The very website you replied on is paid for by members of this club.If you are a fully paid up member then you would have received the 20th anniverary book along with pin badges and one off stickers all paid for by the club for its members. All events in this club are organised by members of this club on a voluntary basis for the enjoyment of its members and their minis so it is all about being proud of the little cars we own and helping like minded people to keep them on the road.
