Locked out!

Post by MiniMe »

I've managed to lock my keys in the car - in the ignition no less!

No spare - before i go at it with a clotheshanger does anyone have tips on getting into the mini without doing damage?

Maybe its just me and the way I lock it from the outside, but I can never figure out how you can lock keys in a car? It seems very easy to do from how common it is?

thanks for the advice folks. Car was being moved (not by me) to spray the garage. I got a message to give me the bad news. I'm guessing what happened was that the person who unlocked the door didn't give the key a full turn so the lock slipped back on slightly when the door was shut. A good jiggle of the barrel loosened it up and luckily it clicked open after a few seconds!

I can't lock the door without the keys either so that's my best guess of what happened!
