right...........still can't find it.........is there any point in someone putting up a step by step, or "click by click" guide, to logging onto the members section? or do we already have the required info so far in this topic?

You have to be opted in, so any other paid up members just let us know if you can't access the section.

IMOC Members access

Post by moke »

IMOC members who do not have access to the "Members" section please send an email to "forum@..." (irishminis.ie) with their full name and forum username - will enable access after checking latest membership list.

I will in anycase cross-check the user details against the membership list, and enable access where I can see a match.

Without sounding like a spoilt brat, I've ran several sites like irishminis.ie for a few years, and the only thing doing something like this will result in is :

a) Reduce traffic to the site.
b) Plague admins with people unable to get into the section.
c) Add confusion to the site, resulting in (a) above.

With an organisation such as the IMOC, I'd have though that it would be much more beneficial to leave the buy and sell section open. Think of it this way, at the moment, someone looking to buy a Mini/MINI can come here, buy it, and then be educated about the IMOC, and end up being a member. You WILL loose potential memberships as a result of a move like this.

I'd keep the members section for discussing things like Constitutions, meeting times, etc, but for your own sake, keep the things that attract new visitors and new members on the main pages.

My humble € .02

Owen.
