Check the rear doors, they always go at the bottom, and subsequently the rear valance, the channels for the windows are another sponge. Petrol tanks are also prone to the tin worm as is the filler recess.

Drop down to Ronan and he'll show you what he had to fix on the Woody.

Just a note of interest, the rare drop nose estates are just as prone to the rust, and in fact suffer more than the norm especially in the front section and you don't want to be buying panels for that, mine were made in England (one-offs), I know Milton was looking for a pair of drop nose wings for his estate, but I think he had second thoughts in the end.
Is the estate you are looking at a drop nose ?

Its a 1980 pagent blue clubman estate, bog standard.I think that its an english import, call me strange but I,m a sucker for a slab nose.Anyway the budget wouldn,t stretch to anything as exotic as a round nose type especially after buying a 1275gt the week before christmas. There goes that slab nose thing again, hope to have it on the mtm this year, the gt that is

Ah, but a drop nose IS a slab front, not a round nose, but there are the obvious differences from the standard clubman front.

Would I be correct in thinking that if one where to customise their slab front to a Drop Nose, that the use of a modified 2CV Bonnet might be a good choice, and less work?

No. No, No, No. The whole essence of the drop nose clubman estates was the outer and inner wings, the bonnet is still standard clubman, Paul Kelly tells me that the whole project was done to commerate the launch of the Concord back in the late 60's, with a limited number sold in both the UK and France. They were only available in red, white or blue, which were the colours used on the Concord as well as the colours on the flags of both France and GB.
It's good to know that some of the cars have survived longer than the plane although I think the plane would have higher milage.:)
