Just back from the run, fantastic day and a good turn out despite promise of bad weather.

After we had signed on for the event we each received an envelope with a route book and membership form,( 2 new members today :D ), two IMOC20 pins and a pair of Tri-colour lanyards (Nice little prezzie, thanks Joe).

We headed off from Carrick shortly after noon, Joe Whyte waited behind for Mustard and Daddy Glennon who were running a little late. We drove down through south Leitrim and around Lough Allen where we stopped for a few photos then on to Dowra, the stragglers caught up with the rest of us and we headed into Cavan over Glangevlin and on into Bawnboy and our lunch stop in the Slieve Russel Hotel in Ballyconnel.

After the soup and sambos it was back on the road and on to Killashandra, round by the lake and on to Ballinamore, through Feenagh and another short stop in the evening sunshine at a small jetty on the Shannon, from there it was just another few miles to the finish at the Landmark Hotel back in Carrick-on-Shannon.

The route was just shy of 83 miles and we were all having a well earned cuppa in the hotel by 4:30pm.

Here are just a few photos from along the way.

Well TMG i could nt have put it better,

Despite the weather, it really was a good run, there was a good pace to the day which meant that we covered the 83 miles nicely. There was a great selection of cars, vans, Clubmans and saloons of the best standard. Fair play to everyone who attended the event and made it what it was. The next outing will be the 25th of november for our monthly meeting,

The next western event plans to be somethin special, watch this space

There appears to a bit of a theme creeping into the Club's runs these days, Minis by the Lake.

Once again a nice photo opportunity spotted and used to great effect. Well done.
