buying a mini 2morrow with the roof cut off just wondering were i could get a soft top and get it fitted

wat do you mean by roof cut off? as in just the skin, completely, partially???
the thing you need to look out for i reckon would be is that body could have warped due to lack of roof strength,
hope your good with a welder too

Why was the roof chopped off the Mini ?
There is a fair bit involved in strengthening a Mini when you turn it into a convertible or cabriolet.
You might want to look into the cost of getting a hood and frame made as well as the chances of getting insurance on a home made conversion.
There are some companies that do kits of all the parts needed, but as Steven said you should seriously consider the possibility that the shell could be distorted if it hasn't been braced and the roof cut off.
Not something you should jump at, you need to know what you are getting in to .

i sold a mini project I had four weeks ago to a guy for €850, he chopped the roof off and stuck it in donedeal for €1500 cheeky f*ck!!if that was in a crash it would fold faster than an oragami ninja!!! make sure it's a proper conversion with extra strengthening
