think of it some more.... . . 5 speed box, fuel injection, multi-valve engine, easy 120+ hp... in an engine bay big enough for it. the car rover *should* have made etc etc..
at the time BL/Rover already had a deal with honda for engines for the triumph acclaim.. so boxing up a few other efi engines for the metro would have been easy.

have the front end stripped and found alot more rust than i thought there would be... as per usual...



until next weekend when i get back from college and dive back in....

id love to kieth but at the moment this is a complete budget project. im not/cant afford new panels, so im cutting all the rust out and replacing the metal. as for the engine, i have a 1275 out of my old car which was running fine up until i took it out of the mini.

does anyone know where can i get a p/s headlamp, p/s rear lamp, and window/door rubbers????

I see that Austin Rover applied the same amount of rustproofing to the Metros as they did to the Minis.By the way how is the Aqua 1275GT coming along there over on it's side.
