Battery Protection

Post by city998 »

As the Mini ride is a bit harsh compared with many other cars on the road, does anyone see a benefit to adding some cushioning material below the battery to prevent (mechanical) shock damage? I thought I might try to source a plastic battery box and put some closed cell foam under it. Clamping the whole assembly down, of course. Good idea? Bad idea? Suggestions? Comments?

As long as the battery is clamped in propperly, as per NCT requirements, there shouldnt be any need for cushioning.
