hi lads,
there is a product out there, called novastop,,,a bit dearer than your ordinary rad weld, seems to be a very good quality....your local motor factor should carry it...

i used it on my old vw pissrat and it worked a charm!
most of the rally lads swear by it

I realise that it would probably work, but the idea of putting a clogging agent into somewhere that i want water to flow just isnt a good job in my mind.macker wrote:that Novastop is great stuff!

Is it a coincidence that mini and money start with the same letter? 'cause if you have the first you sure better have lots of the other

I've used Novastop in my Volvo and it worked great. Effectively a stone through the rad meant buying a new one which cost E150.

Re: Radiator repairs.
The last time I priced a rad for this was about 14 years ago at £1200 + VAT !!!!. I got it recored for £100.The guy that recored it has retired since. I think a stone has hit it this time.Billy wrote:I've used Novastop in my Volvo and it worked great. Effectively a stone through the rad meant buying a new one which cost E150.

Novastop is good stuff..... A lot of guys put a shot of it in every rover k-series engine they service to help the old head gasket along and it does wonders....
