Spent a few hours yesterday giving my Mini a deep clean and valet-nothing to do with Mini World magazine at all!!!!!!!

Yep, seats look excellent.

Collected my Mini 1000 this evening. It needs a good clean and polish for Sunday though

Went down to a pal in Rathdrum, Wicklow for a late lunch today and came back across the Wicklow mountains.
It was a fabulous day for taking such a scenic drive.

cursed at my mini alot and crunched its gears a good few times trying to find the gears but got home thankfully enough :)

plan: switch engines with my sisters mini.....
just have to tell her when she gets home now im robbing her engine :P

basicly took apart two 998 engines , my everyday one (clutch slieve gone, reverse was poppin out) and my spare one litre (seized crank, but has perfect gearbox :) )

getting a new clutch delivered tomoro so can put my everyday one back together and back in the car... 8)

Wasn't actually today, but "what did you do to your mini yesterday" was: I finished off removing the interior, bagged and tagged carpets and door cards for storing in the shed until the end of the project then swept up all the loose rust after it came free when i pulled out the newspaper and expanding foam repair job someone did on the sills. :roll:

well clutch never arrived today so decided to do some other bits...

made my mini asbestos free by removing soundproofing in engine bay.
undersealed 3/4 of the car ,
cleaned up and sprayed some waxoily type stuff onto shanes rear subframe,
did a lil patching on shanes mini...

productive day... :)

Swapped my Mini for................. my Dolomite!

Mini enjoying the luxury of my Fathers garage while I have the Dolomite at home with me.
Fitted new battery stay bars, throttle return springs and a speedo cable to it this afternoon.

i put my engine back together with different gearbox and new clutch and put it back in..
had to leave for game of footie, just need to fix a water leak and bleed the brakes... :lol:
