adjusting the shocks

Hi guys, starting to mess around with the recently acquired mini, named Hollie, btw, so from now on I'll refer to her as Hollie. Well, I have the spax adjustable shocks, I believe, there are no coils, so I don't think it's the coil over kit, (if I'm worng don't hesitate to throw the first stone... ). As the shocks are set at the moment it's like driving a tank, a very light one, thanks god I don't have the habit of drinking coffee when I'm driving... so I'd like to get the shocks softer; the manual I found online recommends starting with 8 clicks from soft in the front and 6 in the back, has anybody expreience with more customized settings?

I used to set them to 4 on the front 1 on the back.

I used 6 front and 4 back, found it quite firm and good for more 'progressive' driving style.

I HAVE THE KONI CLASSICS ON MY SPORTSPACK (I THINK THEY CAME AS STANDARD ON THE SPORTSPACK)

THEYRE NOT ADJUSTABLE ARE THEY?

The Koni's are an uprated shock, but non adjustable.

OK, so in general as I can see you all go softer than the settings suggested by the manufacturer, good to know. thanks a lot.

the Koni's are an adjustable shock, the only snag is that they are not "on car" adjustable,

they have to be taken off the car, then their is an insert/collar (plastic washer type thing) in the cup part of the shock that needs to be removed,
once removed you compress the shock and twist, it should catch its markers and click each degree softer or harder,
cant remember how many clicks their are though but it is more than the Spax,
then you just insert the collar again and refit to the mini,

bit of a pain if you've never used them before as you'll have to do this a few times to get your desired setting
iirc i used to set them at 7 front and 3 or 4 rear
