Mondello Mini 50th PICTURES
Really had a great day and was great to see some old faces I knew from way back when
Just a pity I lost the clutch out on track but gave it socks in third gear for 10 laps
Dont seem to be working...ill try again later
(I sorted out the pics for you Niall, you had forgotten the IMG tags and hadn't unchecked the "Disable BBCode" box. TMG)

Re: Mondello Mini 50th PICTURES
Well done to Aidan and the crew for putting all this together. The gazebo was a great success and even when the couple of showers came and it was women, children, and paid-up club members into the gazebo, the atmosphere was like a packed pub on a Saturday night.
Kieran's photos and DVDs of previous events went down very well and gave people a flavour of what the IMOC is all about. The catering division played a blinder and the tae was handsome.
The feedback I got from talking to many non-members from around the country was that we ticked all the boxes in the tie-up with Mondello and Irish Vintage Scene. All the action on the track during the day and in the paddock after the parade lap meant there was something to keep everyone occupied during the whole day and has raised the standard expected of a Mini show.
My own personal highlights of the day were looking down from the Control Tower at the assembled mass of Minis in the paddock, how well the IMOC stand looked, hopping out of PIM91 after the parade lap and looking back at the 3 lines of 200+ Minis (a major WOW moment), that we didn't need BINIS to make up the numbers (the 2 Mondello Driving School ones don't really count!), and finally the fact that we acheived all this in Ireland.
Well done to all the prize winners and I'm really looking forward to seeing the official Mini 50 photos from Irish Vintage Scene.

Re: Mondello Mini 50th PICTURES
What a great event - brought my wife along, her first time in my mini! Sold! She may want to join me on MTM next year and even hinted at getting her own mini
Took loads of photos, and have them up on my web site: www.craigsminis.com.

Re: Mondello Mini 50th PICTURES
Great stuff Niall.
Was all that rattling before each corner when you were trying to find another gear?
That quick van was Glennon Jr.
I was talking to Ray Cunningham after the show and we were talking about the differences in rally car set-up versus circuit racers. Obviously the circuit Minis are set up to go around on rails. Glennon Sr.'s blue Mini seemed to be able to handle the strain though and gave Ray a run for his money during one of the track sessions.

Re: Mondello Mini 50th PICTURES
Wanted to come on and say thanks to the organisers and spectators for providing a fantastic day. It's top of my calendar for next year, the best show I've been to.
Well done lads and lasses,
Mark (Car 84)

Re: Mondello Mini 50th PICTURES
Mark,
I was watching you from the grandstand. Yourself and Lloyd were on song. I have to say though, that Mk2 Escort was phenomenal. What was the story with that? Ray C was telling me it has 300bhp as he's met it out on hillclimbs.

Re: Mondello Mini 50th PICTURES
Hi all,
Just to say thanks a Million to every one who made Mondello Mini 50th one of the best days on track all year and also a big tanks to all the people who took the time to wander down to the IMC pits an wish us well in the race It was very much appreciated. 200+ minis three abreast from top to bottom of the straight was phenomenal. A huge well done to the IMOC with there massive display, sorry I could not stay long but Race minis take a lot of TLC to keep them going around and round.
I hope you all found the Irish Mini Challenge Demo race Fun a exciting to watch.
Look forward to see you all at the Phoenix Park where the Irish Mini Challenge hopes to put on one of its biggest races of the calendar.
Best regards,
Paul.
