MINIWORLD coming over to MTM2009
Get your sponges and polish out. Our PRO Aidan McGrath has been working away behind the scenes with MiniWorld and we are delighted to be able to announce that Karen and Kay Drury will be taking part in this year's Mizen to Malin Run on May 23rd. They will be bringing over one of their staff Minis.
It should be an incentive for entrants to have their Minis nice and shiny on MTM cos you never know, they may be looking for Minis to feature in future issues of MiniWorld. http://www.miniworld.co.uk/ You have been warned. Get those MTM entries in quick.
Well done to KMG on his powers of persuasion.
Billy

If it isn’t broke then it’s not a Mini
Re: MINIWORLD coming over to MTM2009
Really looking forward to coming. I've never been to Ireland before and I've always wanted to, so this seemed the perfect opportunity to see as much as we can in a couple of days. And what better way to see the country than in a Mini, along with loads of other Minis!

Kay,
You are very welcome to the IMOC forum. May 23rd is going to be a rollercoaster. You will get to see more of the Irish countryside in one day than many people living here ever see.
All the best,
Billy

I will be hanging on in dublin to meet up with Sprintmini when he gets off the boat (approx 13:50hrs),
should have Gareth and Esther with me too, hopefully we'll catch up to you guys on the way, although looking at that time we might not catch you!
but we'll have a try

The meeting point for the convoy from Dublin will be The Glenroyal Hotel carpark in Maynooth between 10.00 and 10.30 on Friday morning, should give us plenty of time for a nice drive down through the country.

Re: MINIWORLD coming over to MTM2009
All we need is the weather. I was down in Barleycove on Saturday where it was glorious. Everywhere else around the country, it was bucketing rain.
Just finishing off the sign-in sheets and Neil is sorting plaques and finishers awards. Andy and Simon are all set with the recovery Land Rover and trailer. It's all coming together.
Just a few more days,
Billy

Tic tock tick tock
Billy, the weather forecast looks relatively ok for Friday (mostly sunny with the odd light shower) so let's hope that Saturday is at least as good if not better.
If any of the Dublin Mini convoy get to the Glenroyal hotel earlier and fancy a coffee before we depart let me know as I'm only down the road in Lucan.

Re: MINIWORLD coming over to MTM2009
Compulsary Drivers Briefing starts at 8pm but Registration will be available from 7pm.
Red Cow to my place at 75mph on the motorway takes 2.5 hours on a Friday evening but that all depends on how busy Abbeyleix is. From my place to Barleycove will take another 2.5 hours. Please keep this in mind. We really don't want people arriving late for the briefing.

Im tied to the ferry times as I dont sail from Holyhead until 12:00 but should be off the ferry around 14:00 and looking at the route I should be arriving around at around 20:00 so I may be either on the minutes or late depending on the ferry and traffic on route from Dublin.

Re: MINIWORLD coming over to MTM2009
Hi Dermot,
Well aware that you are travelling further than most. The main thing is to get there in one piece.
The rest of ye who don't have as far to travel, no excuses accepted i.e. no Stephen Ireland stuff!

Calling all MICKs, we will be having a few drinks (very few for those doing MTM) and chat in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, tomorrow (Thursday night). Guests for the evening are Kay and Karen Drury. TMG, KMG, ZakGT and myself will be there.
