My 1380!
Well heres my mini, ive been building it with a few years on and off but dont think il ever be finished properly! Bought it as a rolling shell with no front end or engine and took it from there
The engine is a 1380 with stage 3 head, 1.5 roller rockers and an MD286 cam, im rebuilding it at the moment but it should be back in the car in a couple of weeks hopefully! Next plan is to lower it a bit more, tubb the rear arches and get some negative camber going . let me know what ye think!

Re: My 1380!
Very nice job! Love the colour. What wheels/tyres and brakes do you have on her? Am looking for ideas for my eventual rebuild. What year is the car?

Re: My 1380!
the bodywork looks fantastic, its very straight not even the slightest imperfection even when the sun is shineing against it
great work, did you do the body work and spray it yourself?
those wheels look like 5.5" wide i think, that way you didnt have to cut away the body work to accomadate for the wheels

No im not that into doing bodywork really, got a local guy to spray it. The colour is a chrysler one i picked off a chart. The wheels are 5" but with 2 in the car its rubbing at the back so im going to tub the rear arches and lower it another inch all round i thinkJason79 wrote:the bodywork looks fantastic, its very straight not even the slightest imperfection even when the sun is shineing against it

its a good test for your mini, you'll get to put faces to the members names and its prolly one of the best runs (beside IMM 2009) of the year ...

Re: My 1380!
That colour really works... The car looks a real minter
That's going to be one serious engine when you get it up and running... Looking forward to seeing it in the metal

ah now there was a beast
Re: My 1380!
Is that colour a metallic or a solid ???
Re: My 1380!
Its a metallic ya,
So this week, after the news of the NCT 5 points thing im after putting in my old 1 litre engine in an effort to pass the emmissions test which the 1380 was nowhere near passing. Sould be getting it running at the weekend, get it passed in the next few weeks and get it out again as soon as possible!
