Welcome to the Irish Mini Owners Club forum. Celebrating 30 years of the Irish Mini Owners Club, 60 years of the Mini, 50 years of the Clubman and 20 years of our flagship event MTM
I was trawling the insurance websites like Hibernian, bestquote etc. on Sunday night and I was getting 430-470 comp for our everyday car. When I rang the local Hibernian office yesterday who I already have another car with, I got fully comp for 390 and for an additional tenner, got the excess reduced from 300 to 125. Can't complain.
mine dropped from e1,800 TPFT, to e675 Comprehensive. Im well happy, did not expect that!
Although i have heard of some peoples quotes going up for some reason, maybe im lucky
It might be just FBD Maxi because I got a home insurance renewal from them and it was up 15% and considering the price of houses labour and materials has all gone down I find it hard to understand especially as I changed to another company and got it 35% cheaper than what FBD were looking for.
just wondering has any of the regions got young members 18 yrs + finding it hard to get insurance or crazy quotes we have a few of these and would be a pity if insurance cant be got for them even if only for events for the summer.

im 21, 675 fully comp with axa, although i had to bite the bullet at 19 with 2,000.
I was with FBD this time last year and they hiked up the price so I said bye bye went to Quinn and they had a deal on at the time if I got 2 policies off them that they would take the no claims bonus into a count on both policies so I have both cars insured fully comp for about €100 more than what I was for just the Mini on FBD
im 21... just paid 1100 big ones for my paul smith 3rd party with quinn.. they were the cheapest out of the 7 or 8 i tried! 1st time having my own policy so i wasnt expecting much less than that!
hibernian aviva wanted 2500.. recession.. not for them anyway!
hi lads good feed back on all the different companies and there quotes but it still doesn't answer what im wondering is there any way out there that we can get our younger members insured even if it only for event days, surely as a club insurance companies can be approached, there is enough minis in the club to get a group rate and be able to get these younger ones on the road even if it is restricted
