Re: wipers & heater problem
would it make sence to change to a modern spade type fuse box
Re: wipers & heater problem
Standard fuse box usually works fine once fuses are good and tight in clips and terminals are clean.
Sometimes the spade connectors going in at the sides get loose and need a pinch with pliers.
There are 2 other fuses in the loom under the bonnet, in where the washer bottle is near the wiper motor.

I replaced mine and relocated it inside the passenger compartment.

Ops! I thought I'd attached a photo of the result but it didn't go through. PM me if you want me to send it to you.

Re: wipers & heater problem
Ok. Let's try again.
In the photo, you can see the flasher unit to the left of the fuse box. That was left temporarily hanging until I sourced a proper clip and relocated it.
I cut a piece of aluminium and pop-riveted it in place to mount the fuse box and terminal strip. I'll probably relocate it when I cover the area with a dashboard so it is easy to access.
Thanks, Billy, for the suggestion on loading a photo!
