cooper sport 500
Hi, recently bought a 2000 sportspack, and the guy selling it to me said he thinks its a cooper sport 500 but the previous owner lost the history and manuals etc, how can I tell if it is a 500, its tahiti blue with a silver roof, silver stripes, 13x6 sportspack wheels, brake light inside back window badge with cooper sport on boot, any ideas???? Thanks

Re: cooper sport 500
The silver roof is definitely correct for a 500. Apparently there's mechanical differences as well. There should also be a plaque saying it's a 500.
If you visit the Mini Cooper Registers website http://www.minicooper.org someone will be able to help you.

There are no mechanical differences between the 500s and the rest of the later minis.
