Hi All,
Well it’s finally time for the 2000 MPI restoration. I have recently finished the new garage for the mini, nothing grand, it's now out of the elements and tucked up in a nice 15x12 foot extension to the 12x12 foot timber shed I already had, but with a 4" concrete base & double doors at the end.
Have started to strip things, (inside & out), & and it looks like:- 2 A-Panels, 2 wings, full front panel, full windscreen surround and upper dash rail & a bonnet at the front & 1 maybe 2 rear inner arches. Sub frames look good so far, but will know more when I take them out. Engine to come out at a later stage for a strip down & check over (clean, de-coke, new seals & gaskets etc). My biggest worry at the moment is the roof gutter; it is very badly rusted front and rear, I have seen replacement parts for the side but not front & rear. If anyone has seen any front & rear gutter parts I can use could you please let me know. Also, is there a fiberglass front and re-enforcing kit on the market for the standard shaped mini?
Welcome to the Irish Mini Owners Club Forum. Keep an eye out of on coming events!!!!

Wow Dave,
It's frightening what you find when you start digging. Nice garage though!

Agree, lovely looking garage, hope it is well insulated.
Just looking at the pics, those window seals that Rover used were utter crap.

Re: 2000 MPI Restoration
Paul Kelly ( Minifix) has suggested replacing the later widscreen rubber seals with the earlier type (Mk3) available in MiniSpares.
