UK spares suppliers

Post by J.R »

Hi all,
Dont know if this topic has been done before but which
mini parts supplers do most of ye use. Have had 3 transactions
with mini sport now and i cant fault them. Except for the fact that if you get a set of brake pads or a set of seats the postage is still the same ,£20. Have been looking on huddersfield mini sares for alloys
& tyre and a few other bits, and they seem to be alot cheaper price wise, but dont give you the postage cost untill you make the order!!
So i suppose the question is who do you buy your spares from & why??
Cheers
James

Definitely Somerford. Called in there myself last week and everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Got a guided tour of the workshops and what they are currently working on. Everyone there is enthusiastic about their Minis and it's clearly not a 9 to 5 job with these guys.

Hope it helps,

Very little in the way of Mini parts are made in the USA, any of the suppliers over there are getting their stock from the UK. American prices tend to be a tad high.

If you want really nice bits for your Mini then you should be checking out the Japanese Mini suppliers.

I am interested a seat package from Huddersfield Minis, so I wrote to them about the cost of delivery to Maynooth. Delivery for 2 front seats and subframes, covers for the back and the 4 side panels - £42

I am acutally concerned that this is too cheap.

Somerford sent me 2 wings, 2 inner wings, a-panels and a bunch of small stuff for £30 and it was a very big box. Ordered on a Friday, had them by lunchtime the following Monday.

Your local BMW dealer or failing that, I'm sure any exhaust place in your local Golden Pages would be able to help you.

Mini Spares and other UK based Mini Shops (Adverts in Miniworld) will have spares for MINIs.

Hello Helen,if your after a performance exhaust there will be loads advertised in specialist MINI magazines but then you have to pay to have it shipped, then pay to get it fitted but as Billy said your local BMW dealer will fit one but it will come with a main dealer price or any of the tyre/exhaust fitting places such as Advance or Fast Fit will have them also.Let us know how you get on.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.
