Anyone who knows me will know I,ve been on about a Suzuki Swift conversion for a long time and yesterday a major piece of the project arrived. This will make the whole project much easier.I picked this one from all the ones available because I liked the engineering of it compared to others which I thought were a bit agricultural.
I asked for it not to be painted Steven as I will powder coat it but not until I fit it into the car as I will have to weld mounting brackets for the rad and I don,t know what type of rad I will use yet. This one is for a clubman but I think it fits in a roundnose as well. This is his first MKII Swift frame so he is interested to see how everything works out.
Having called into KMG yesterday to see this yoke, I have to say it's a neat bit of engineering. It's also incredibly light. You could pick it up with 1 finger. Try doing that with the real thing. Also the Suzuki 1293cc engine is apparently lighter than an A-series so the overall weight of the car should be well reduced.
