Dave C,s wander around Wicklow
Fresh from the success of the autojumble the eastern region will be holding its usual monthly meeting in the Clonsilla Inn at 12.30 on Sunday the 12th of October with a quick meeting(provided Billy does not show up )to plan upcoming events and afterwards Dave Coleman will be leading us on a gentle wander around Wicklow. If you need any info give me a ring on 087 2309324 and we will try and arrange a meeting place for south Dublin members who cannot make it to the meeting.Hope to see ye there,Aidan

Hi I won’t be able to make the run; the cooper is having major body work done at the moment. I hope to have it back on the road in November. Should have some pics to put up on the projects page soon.

Re: Dave C,s wander around Wicklow
The plan for Sunday is to travel down to Wicklow Town by the coast road (not the N11), stopping to look at some Minis and some well known TV locations on the way. I was thinking of stopping at a few places in Wicklow Town, and maybe stop for a break before driving back in the Dublin direction, with one farewell stop before we all head off home

A few pictures from the the start of todays run.At one stage it looked like an estate only run but a few shortys turned up too, still no sign of a Marcos making it,s debut.
I,m sure Billy will recognise the black estate. No need for a roof box if you held onto that one Billy.

Re: Dave C,s wander around Wicklow
Well, thanks to everyone for coming along today, it was a very enjoyable run.
For anyone who missed it, we left Clonsilla, travelled around the M50 to Cherrywood where we met up with 4 more cars.
Off to Bray, where we had a look in at webcars.net, and then over to the coast road, where we drove through Delgany, Kilcoole and Newcastle. Then on to Rathnew and stopped by the river in Wicklow Town. It was good to have a convoy of nine cars which attracted plenty of attention.
The weather was good, and it was great to meet up with everyone. I had a chat with Jimmy and he has a few ideas for other runs down Wicklow direction. Photos to follow.

Re: Dave C,s wander around Wicklow
Well done lads,
I'd loved to have done the run as I don't know that neighbourhood at all.
Yep, 724 FZL is my old clubbie estate. When I had it on MTM2000 it was bog standard with gold stripes along the side and the 1098 engine had been replaced with a 1-litre. Solid little car and it was my daily driver at the time. Who owns it now? It passed through several hands before being customised in Dublin, and then ended up in Galway. Good to see it's still on the road.

Good run Dave, sorry we missed the very end of the run but we had an appointment with a '59.
Judging by these and the Galway pictures ,yesterday must have been National Clubman Day.
