carb prob... again........

Post by just_st3v3n »

can someone just verify before i remove the carb..
is the jet needle that attches to the float on all hif carbs the same??
mine was broke on the hif38 so i switched the one from a hif44 carb onto it, which as result after many cancelations could be where the fault lies as to why my engine stalls on deceleration

thanks

The jet and the needle are two different things, the jet is the hole in the middle of the carb that the needle goes into, the needle is the bit that attaches to the piston in the top of the carb.
Needles come in different profiles and are stamped with the profile code on the fatter part of the needle.

What oil have you in your dashpot ?
