So that's

1. Mulqueens x3
2. Flynns x4
3. Maloneys x 5
4. Dermot O'Connell
5. Murphys x3
6. BlackSe7en x5
7. Woody x3
8. Tom Sullivan Cork x2
9. TMG x4
10. The other 5 Maynooth O'Carroll's - (however may have to stay somewhere with bricks )
11. KMG x2
12. Goose (Darren) x1
13. Glennon's x2
14. Dave T. x 3
15. Shannonside x ?

My plan is to send out an entry form so we can let the campsite know how many adults/kids/tents/campers are going to be making up the IMOC crew?
For club members, there's no entry fee to take part in this weekend , non-members must pay the daily membership fee in order to be covered by the club insurance.
You just pay your own camping fees directly to Parson's Green.

I mentioned campers above because anyone who doesn't want to stay in a tent but has a campervan is welcome to bring it along. There's a small number of B&B's nearby but I'd book them pronto cos they won't be available for long. The main thing though is to turn up and have the craic.

More anon,

Just a quick question,

Would I have to send my form and payment for membership to Dublin......or can it be paid the weekend ? I'm assuming it cant be paid the weekend but am just making sure.

Cheers.

Darren,

Send your membership to Julie pronto. I know she posted out the entry forms for the camping weekend to all paid-up members this afternoon along with details of upcoming events around the country. Once your membership arrives, Julie can post you out more info.

The entry forms are due back to me by August 15th.

Oisin is an old hand at IMOC camping but I,ve got the go ahead to bring Dearbhla to this. It,s about time she was introduced to the IMOC seeing as she will be going to the big 50th party as well.By the way Dave, great to see your coming along. Will it be the 1000 or have you been working on the GT late at night.

Dave,

While it would be brilliant to have the Mini with you, it's not unheard of people bringing Renault Scenics etc along. In fact last year Johnny Murphy and Tom Sullivan (Cork) brought their own campervans and took lifts in Minis for the Saturday run. The main thing is to turn up and have the craic.

The more the merrier,

Folks,

Get those camping entry forms back to me this week please as I want to get back to the campsite with the number of adults/kids/tents/caravans/campervans etc.

Most of you who expressed an interest above have sent me back their forms but there's a few stragglers e.g. DaveC, Shannonside crew, plimerick, Dermot, Johnny Murphy, and Tom Sullivan Cork. If everyone makes it, there could be 70+ bodies there which would be a serious turnout.

Keep them coming. Any questions, call me at 087-4195640.

I spoke to Kathleen at the campsite last night and they're open for business and haven't been flooded. The forecast for the weekend is mixed though so bring your wellies and raincoats.

Billy,

Just looking at the 3 day forecast on the Met website, looks like an improvement is coming on Thursday and the weekend will not so bad. I also noticed on the news that that part of the country only got around 100% of average monthly rainfall, rather than the 400% up here in Kildare.

In case anybody needs it, there are two B&B's within a few mins of the campsite.

Nearest is "Hermitage" and the tel number is 052 65876. Its about 40 euros per person per night. The chap I was talking to seemed very nice and this place operates a pub as well and has no problem with people coming in to bed after 12 midnight. Not recommending it, I got the name via parson's green but might be useful if the wet weather continues.

The other number which I didn't contact is for Two Rivers B&B - sounds dogey with all the precipitation... its at 052 65499

Looking forward to seeing ye all on Saturday...
