Once upon a time, the IMOC organised a big gathering all the way outside the Pale in a small rural town called Bandon Co. Cork. That was way back in 1997 and the event was an International Mini Meeting. There were 650 Minis (long before Binis were even invented) and they came from all over Europe.
I was recently getting tyres for the Cooper in Glanworth Tyres (025-38107) and one of the lads Richard came out to take a photo of my car. He told me that he was a spectator in Bandon for the concours competition that was held on a hot Sunday afternoon near the GAA pitch. He told me he had taken loads of photos and offered them to me to scan. So after 11 years sitting in Richard's photo album, here they are:
I was a concours judge that day. Some of the elder lemons in the IMOC will spot the likes of Rog the Hat, Colin O'C, Big Ian, Ed Fahey, the London & Surrey lads etc.

I remember that show, it was the first mini show I was at.
Can't believe it was 11 years ago.
