We are on a count down to the 4th National Mini Day.
I believe we have everything in order, the long range weather forecast is good.

My sincere apologies for the delay in getting the information out to all.

The venue for the 4th NMD is Clarinbridge, Co. Galway.
The hard stand for the day is in the grounds of the renowned Paddy Burke's Restaurant & Bar.
see. http://www.paddyburkesgalway.com
Paddy Burke's is famous for the Clarinbridge Oyster Festival held in early September since 1954.

Getting to Clarinbridge

Clarinbridge is located on the Galway to Limerick road approximately 16 km from Galway. If travelling from Dublin turn left at the Oranmore roundabout onto the N18. Clarinbridge is 5km from Oranmore.
http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=53.27 ... ,-8.881416

Clarinbridge is situated in South Galway on the main route from Galway to Limerick, at the mouth of the Clarin river and at the head of one of Galway Bay's most easterly inlets Dunbulcan Bay from which come the world famous Clarinbridge oysters. Here exists the perfect combination of natural elements required to produce the perfect oyster.

If the weather is half as good as it was in the west today, then next weekends National Mini Day will be a cracker. So get polishing those Minis.

See you all there.

As mentioned elsewhere, I can't attend this year, but I would suggest that like last year, meet up in the Maynooth Lidl carpark at 09:00 and leave not later than 09:30. That should give you a comfortable 2:30 travelling time.

Enjoy the day.

The entry forms, as far as I know, anyone who had a car there last year was sent on an entry form, as were all participants on the MTM, I'll see if Tom has a copy that we could put up for people to download for themselves. Leave it with me.

Just a wee note to say to thanks to Tom and his crew and to congratulate them on a great day, I don't know who Tom's connection in the Met Office is, but it was another scorcher in Galway today. For those who couldn't make it, here are a few pics of the crowd and the class winners in the Show and Shine.

Derek Bell was here again this year, this time with a MkIII Elf, and for the third year in a row walked away with the Tom Gill Perpetual Cup.

Well done Derek.

Great photos Neil and I have to agree, it was a really enjoyable afternoon. Instead of just parking your car and sitting around with the usual suspects, there was entertainment laid on by the organisers with the wheel changing contest (male and female sections), the car balancing, etc. All aimed at a Mini audience. Fair play to those who did some serious miles to get there, whether from Donegal and NI or as far as Eamon Foley in the Hornet all the way from Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Paddy Burke's was a big improvement on last year's venue in terms of on-site grub and the sheltered BBQ decking. And the weather was the icing on the cake.

Hi Folks,
My internet is acting up a little so sorry for the late call.
I would like on behalf of the IMOC & the Western Region to sincerely thank everyone who turned up to Clarinbridge for the NMD.
I really hope you all had a good time.
I will early next week give a full low down of the craic with some extra photos.
The weather again came up thrumps, I got a "crispy suntan" from the westerly breeze.
The venue if I may say so looked fantastic with all the minis.
To Mr Kilbane I apologise for my amnesia.
Hope to see you all for the 5th & 50th.
More next week.
Thanks again from all in the west.
Tom.

Hi All,
what an exceptional day out on "mini Sunday" for all the family! The location was ideal. It was wonderful to see all the cars in their glory in the sun. The web site has great shots of the show and it is great to see my own innocenti on the site. (thank you Kerryminigringo !).

Hello kerryminigringo sorry for delay in responding,i have spoken to Paul Kelly and seen he's innocenti in a magazine it look's very nice, thank's for the regard's to my own innocenti having been around innocenti's for over 25 year's and my present one i have owned for over 20 year's i thought i would do a bit of a restoration on her as the last time i showed her was in 1988-1990 where i was in bealeau for a show one of them year's and i managed to get a photo of JOHN COOPER standing next to my car(my girlfriend at the time now my wife asked him to stand next to the car)so i was over the moon with that photo which i still have and treasure,so i took a year to do the restoration on my car which i think she done now.So on that note i will write off for now best regard's jon alexander
