Hi Folks,

Final recce done this evening for our "Midlands Mini Run" this Sunday, some great roads planned out and a total of approx 100kms from start to finish.

We will meet at the Midway Maldren Hotel in Portlaoise just off the M7 at Junction 17 for about 11.30am , grab a coffee etc there and we will leave at 12pm sharp.

We will be leaving Portlaoise heading through Mountmellick and then on to Roseanillis, we we head up the mountain roads to the Ridge of Cappard, stopping off for a few minutes at a viewing point there and a few photo opportunities. Then head for Ballyfin, Mountrath and driving through Killinure onto the beautiful "Glenafelly Drive" in the Slieve Bloom mountains and stop off in the quaint village of Kinnitty where we will stop at the Giltrap pub where there will be a quick lunch stop to regroup and catch up with everyone, the owners of the Giltrap have organised for soup & a roll E6.00 or stone baked pizza E11.95 for anyone with an appetite after wrestling with the steering wheel coming down the mountain roads :D
From here we will head back towards Clonaslee and turn up to go across "The Cut" the other side of the Slieve Bloom mountains, coming back into Mountrath and then back to the starting point at Midway M7 Junction 17, where we can all make our way home from here then.

It would be great if you could add your name to the list below please as it would help us plan for the lunch stop.

Any questions, my number is 087 9286148 Darran

Hope to see you all there Sunday :)
