Can anyone help out here

Hi There,

I hope this email finds you well.

My name is Hazel O’Shea, I’m the National Projects Manager based here at Our Lady’s Hospice in Harold’s Cross. My role covers the central co-ordination of National Fundraising events on behalf of Hospice and Specialist Palliative Homecare groups across Ireland. The two national events I coordinate are Hospice Sunflower Days and Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice together with Bewley’s.

Hospice Sunflower Days is a national Flag day, where supporters and volunteers collect at retailers across the country to raise funds for their local hospice and every euro raised locally stays locally. This year Hospice Sunflower Days take place on 7th and 8th of June, and to launch the 2019 campaign we are having an awards ceremony on Thursday the 9th of May in St. Francis Hospice in Blanchardstown to celebrate some of our dedicated volunteers. We are delighted to announce that RTE’s Mary Kennedy as our Ambassador will be at the launch again this year to promote the campaign. Last year the campaign raised almost €700k nationally and we aim to raise as much funds as we possibly can for our patients and their families again this year.

In order to make this year’s campaign bigger and better, on an incredibly tight budget we are hoping to raise as much awareness of the event as possible. We have been exploring some ideas of fun engaging photos we could shoot for the National Press release. So far we have managed to source a giant teddy bear, and an idea we had was to get a shot of Mary Kennedy in a convertible vintage mini, with our Giant Hospice teddy ‘arriving’ at the event.

If there was any way that you would be able to help us in our endeavors we would be incredibly grateful. We feel this would be a fun shot that the media will pick up, and in turn help us immensely to promote the event and raise more funds. I’m aware that this is an awful lot to ask and anything you can do to help would be very much appreciated. We would be delighted to invite the car owner and a friend to join us for lunch at the event and we would of course cover any petrol expenses incurred.

If you should need any additional information, or wish to call me at any time please do get in touch.

Many thanks for your time & I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Wishes,
Hazel
