Thanks lads. I just checked there. It's currently sitting at the max line from a cold engine. Hopefully there's not a loud pop when I drive to work tomorrow! :-/

Behind a red Cooper today just off Thomas street/Pimlico, and then met Dave in a green clubby van. He's not a member but gave him a site card!

Keys cut - Dublin
Hi all,
Does anyone know anywhere in Dublin where I can get a set of keys cut? Everywhere I've tried say they can't cut the ignition key.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies! Think I'll give the gloves a go. Was going to try fashion something an empty ice cream container!

Driving in the rain
Hi all, Drove the 1275GT for the first time today in heavy rain (normally is never out!) and I noticed that on the M50, when the spray got very heavy, the engine began to stutter and struggle. I am assuming this was from spray going into the engine bay. Is there anything I can do to stop this from h...
Re: Fuel Line
Thanks folks. Got it sorted today. Hadn't been driven in a few months so glad to be able to get it moving!
Re: Fuel Line
Picked up a 6mm hose today. Hopefully fits! Should I use hose clips on it, or should it be ok?
Fuel Line
Hi all,
The carb to engine fuel line has split in my 1275GT. Any ideas where I can pick one up in a bricks and mortar shop? Prefer to have it this weekend.
Also, is it a 1/4 inch hose I need?
Thanks

Re: whats this tube,?
I was thinking that. But when I put it to the little part of the dizzy the engine starts spluttering. When I put it into the air breather on the air box it runs better. It's puzzling me!

whats this tube,?
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what the clear/yellow tube that comes out of the carb/under the air filter box is for? Where is the tube meant to go? Just realised that the other end doesn't go into anything and is actually just hanging loose.
Thanks

Re: Seen a Mini?
Saw 3 today.
Red one in Tesco Clondalkin. Another red one driving down the N4 Palmerstown just passed the applegreen garage and then a silver one on Ballyfermot road, with 3 lads in it.

Re: Restoration - Dublin
Thanks guys. I know it's not for a few years buy no harm thinking about it now. The rear cage sounds like the way to go. Didn't realise about the MPI doors. Are they a direct swap for older doors? Is it possible to get floor only bars for the front and have them connected to the rear bars? In relati...

Hi all, I'm looking to restore one of my minis, that I intend giving my daughter as her first car (in about 7 years). Can anyone recommend anywhere in Dublin, who i can contact (via email as I prefer having it all down in writing) that can do this work? I'm aware I'll probably be looking at between ...

Re: 4 point harness
Yeah I'll probably do that. I'll fashion something to allow the belt still move freely! I've to replace one of the belts anyway, as it's in bits and the clasp has snapped. Was thinking sure if I'm replacing it I may aswell upgrade it! Feck it so! I'm assuming a new belt is just bolt off and bolt on?...

Re: 4 point harness
I might just use the originals so! The seatbelt at the moment is catching the side of the seat, so doesn't retract fully, hence me wanting to use a harness. I'll use a 3 point harness, but I didn't fancy drilling and using plates because I'd probably feck it up!
