Re: 1964 Racer
Small update! Shell has been at the bodyshop for the last week, hoping to have it back within the next 2 weeks! Ended up buying a new driver's wing and A-panel as the ones that are fitted don't look right at all. Have also been busy buying lots of new bits including interior, shiney bits, brake bits...

Yep, for some reason it was bogging down when changed into 2nd (possibly fuel starvation)...hence revving the nuts off it to keep the revs high!

Re: 1964 FIA Lookalike
No nasty surprises really. Car is pretty much 100% solid, it's had a LOT of repairs done over the years though, some of which aren't the neatest!

Re: 1964 FIA Lookalike
I have a set of Paddy Hopkirk bars on it with some mid-range Halfords bike carriers (although I was informed they're made by Thule!). They work a treat.

Got them from Simon Evans, he used them for forestry rallying. Not sure where you'd be able to buy new ones.

Re: Snow sock or chains ?
Well...snow tires work, that's for sure!
Have had great craic driving around without difficulty. They obviously don't give much benefit on ice, but they work a treat on everything else!
