That's great news that it can be paid for online! Trying to get a postal order has proven to be a pain in the backside!

Hi all,
Can anyone confirm the date for the camping weekend this year? I know it was down on the events list sent around, but mine has gone missing!
Thanks

You will have to forgive my ignorance but where will I find the time bar!
I'm planning on putting a sump guard on the front, so I don't think I'll have access to the subframe at the front!

Jacking points
Hi all,
As the title suggests, I'm looking for the proper place to jack the mini. It is a 1275GT.
There seems to be conflicting information online as to where to jack, so any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Re: Insurance Help Please!
It would be cheaper for you to buy a cheap daily driver and insure it. Then you could contact the insurance companies for a limited mileage policy on the mini and they will mirror your NCB (albeit at 0) to the car.

Re: 1275GT Sump Guard
Cheers Macker! I was actually looking at the RAC one before! I vaguely remember reading that you have to modify sump guards to fit on the GT? If not, happy days! Thanks

1275GT Sump Guard
Hi all,
Anyone recommend a sump guard for a 1275GT. It doesn't seem that one was made for it?
Thanks

Thanks lads. Looks like the EBC Kevlar pads are the best? Work well from cold and low wear. Sound ideal!

Re: Brake pad replacement
Thanks Woody. I assume I can just wedge the pistons back in using a long screw driver levered against the inner side of the caliper? I'll remove the top of the brake fluid reservoir just in case (I only topped it up about 2 weeks ago!)
Are you suggesting I stay away from the green pads?

Brake pad replacement
Hi all, Going to venture into the unknown for me and replace the pads on my 1275gt. My assumptions are: 8.4 discs at the front? (1980) Drums on the rear? How straight forward is it to replace the pads? Is it pop open the caliper, copper grease up new pads and in they pop, or is it more complicated? ...

Your dad was William and your brother was John if I remember correctly. Still having the same battery issues, but other than that, still as good as ever. Only gets taken out during sunny weather!

Gunmetal Grey Mayfair in Ballyfermot just now.
Re: e-mini
Catch 22 I suppose. More batteries = more weight. More weight = more requirement for batteries.
Id be happy with a 100Kmph max speed (thats attainable!) with a range of 200Kms

Re: e-mini
Ive been looking at this for a while. Most of the setups have been a total electric engine swap out, and pushed through the rear wheels. This one is interesting in the fact that it keeps all the same running gear, but just removes the engine block. Concern would be the bit of extra weight. Offer it ...

Re: Brake Servo Light?
Thanks for that! I had a fuel leak earlier which I replaced the hoses for and I noticed the cables going into the brake servo were broken. Reconnected up and pushed the button and the light came on. I wasn't sure if it was meant to or not!

Brake Servo Light?
Hi all,
What is the 3rd light from the left on the 4 switch matrix? The left is the hazards, the next is the rear demister, 3rd is the brake servo?, 4th is the lights.
Also, should the light come on or not on it?
Thanks
