Replacement Ignition key

Hi all,
Anyone know where in Dublin I can get a spare ignition key for a 1980 1275GT?

Ive tried woodies on the Naas Road and Lucan, and the key cutter guy on Sun drive road.

Thanks

Re: Classic Car storage

How long do you need the storage?

I've a garage (Dublin 6) with a spare half while my other gets restored.

Re: RSA consultation period on testing vintage vehicles

Zak, I agree totally. I leave so much more room between myself and the car in front when driving my GT than any other car. I think owners of classic cars drive their cars for enjoyment and typically drive more safer than in a modern day equivalent.

Headlight Upgrade

Hi all,
Looking to upgrade the headlights as part of a rebuild. Can anyone recommend the best way to go? Im trying to find out if there are any retro fit projectors anywhere? Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Thank you! Think I scared a few hens though!

I'll apologise now and say I don't know who you were at the weekend. Only managed some faces to names over the weekend!

Silly question, but where exactly are the showgrounds? Im getting different results on google maps for the place. Is it just up beside the Cineplex?

Thanks

Ok cool. How much movement is there in the rails back and forth, and do you have any other pics? Will probably take them off you for my rebuild!

Still available?

Will these fit side by side or do they need to be staggered? Also, are there any rails available for them?

Hey guys, I totally forgot about the closing date and been away the last two weeks. I'm back tomorrow. If I get it sent off on Tuesday for 2 adults and 2 kids, would it Stoll be counted? Thanks

Re: Rebuild - With carbon fibre

Hmm ok. Might go that route so. Straight swap with later doors too? I suppose the weight saved from carbon boot and bonnet would be negligible?

Re: Rebuild - With carbon fibre

This is all part of me trying to plan :) Not sure if should go for door bars and lighter doors, or take later serious steel doors that have the bars built into them. I suppose it would come down to weight of roll cage door bars vs steel doors.

Re: Rebuild - With carbon fibre

Thanks for that. I was looking at fibre glass, but is fibre glass lighter/stronger than steel? If I have to use steel I will, but I'd rather try save weight where I can while I'm doing it. Plus, longevity of the fibre is better than steel I assume?

Rebuild - With carbon fibre

Hi all, The time has begun for me to start a rebuild of one my minis. I'm going for a fairly full build, with the inclusion of a roll cage, and the option of a full engine upgrade. I was thinking of getting the rebuild done with trimtech. I want to remove some weight from the car, but keeping it saf...
