Re: what to do about car being off road
If the car is registered in your name, all you need to do is go to your local garda station and get a motor tax renewal form (RF100A). Fill it out and get the garda to stamp it and go to your local tax office to get it processed and they'll give you a disc there and then. or download the form here: ...

Re: Brakes: Difference between Cooper and Cooper S?
This one has 613 at the end of it
But this one looks as if its a 618 or a 616
I'll have to clean off the others later on and see what numbers they have on em.

Re: Brakes: Difference between Cooper and Cooper S?
You shouldn't undo the flat bolt with the copper washer near the bleed nipple. the position of this when it is tightened is very important and and is set in the factory. There are no torque figures given for it. If you are rebuilding be sure to get the rubber ring gasket that goes between the calli...

Part of the original brochure, you could have it in any colour you wanted as long as it was primula yellow or cinnibar red. Along with the exaction alloy wheels.

Re: VIn number and NCT
Galway, why? I know from experience that when it comes to the NCT, they'll fail you on what ever they feel like at times. I put a car through an NCT and the only thing he could find was a 1mm peel on my rear licence plate. Brought it back an hour later and spoke to the manager, and he laughed sayin...

Re: 1987 Mini City
That car looks very familiar. It didn't have a Tasmanian devil airfreshner it it when you bought it? And a green center on the steering wheel?? If it's the one I'm thinking of the original white bonnet had sliver stripes on left and right side.

It looks like one of the lock nuts off my 89 "racing green" which has a chrome cap to cover it off to make it look like the rest of em.

Your dead right, post has been edited. As for the calling names part, end of the day it looks as if some clown just put plates on it whether it was done by the current or past owners.Billy wrote:There was never a Mary Quant limited edition. It was actually called Designer.

Re: Who owns: 98-WW-6051, BRG COOPER????
If you have an issue with another motorists driving behaviour, then the correct proceedure to follow is to report it to the Gardai on their Traffic Watch lo call number 1890 205 805. It is highly illegal and irresponsible to take the matter into your own hands. Tony As above I fully agree with this...

I've got pics of this car somewhere, it was at a car show in the curragh this year. There's nothing on this car from a 1968, it also had the original uk reg etched into the glass on both sides, think it was a C reg.
