Hi Johnny, you wont need too many hands, get a packet of clothes pegs and after you evo-stick edges and top of windows clamp all round until glue dries,..patience is the key.

F J KEOGH motor factors at Blessington St.. Dublin 7, have headcloth to suit but as it is a roll you would have to make and cut , glue to suit ! Therefor ordering English stuff may be the best. Its still a tricky job with glass removal etc, for early mk 1/2, the headcloth clips in on its own frame, ...

Dont know the difference but the book i have is a yellow cover with a red Cooper on the front, Practical Classics Mini Cooper Restoration. Its on the web site, go into "search the shop",....

Hi Eanna, The Lindsey Porter Book is worth having its very detailed. There"s another book through practical classics its a collection of their monthly issues when they restored a cooper and goes through each stage of restoration. all coloured photos. http://www.practicalclassics.co.uk

Mk1 project.

Hi Billy my car is identical spec. to Dave C!s, even the same tartan red colour.No lincoln & nolan plate but just a chassis no. AA2S7 27127 and it was first registered in Sept 1960. It was first sold through Modern Motors on the crumlin road in Dublin, as it still has the original garage sticker...
