Re: what size are drive sahft seals

Is it diff oil seals or the hub seals you are after. Both are easily available and inexpensive online from any of the UK Mini parts suppliers, only a few quid each. Diff oil seal is AUD5738 http://www.somerfordmini.co.uk/eshop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=327&products_id=12584 the...

Hi guys,

Anybody know off hand what size dire shaft seals are for a 998. 1991 reg?

Motor factors don't know how long it will take but might be able to get generic one if I know inner outer and height.

Thanks

Where to plug weld skins

Hi guys, I've attacked my rotten doors. I've deskinned them and fitted the replacement panel from minispares for the bottom section of the frame and welded in a few other patches here and there. I think I'm ready to fit the new skins. My question is, given I don't have a spot welder, where should I ...

Re: New Welder advice

Mine isn't SWP but it does look very simular ( over 20 years old) . Theres very little in them to go wrong , the only real technical bit is the wire feed. OK cool thanks woody. A guy I know who was a professional welder was saying some more sophisticated ones have digital boards which can go but I ...

Re: New Welder advice

I have a 180 Turbo for years now and find it very good. The Turbo just means it has an extra fan for cooling so you can weld for longer periods. The deal on the 170 is actually better because it includes the first bottle of gas. I use to use larger bottles but the rental went too high so now I use ...

Hi guys, Bought a 91 mini city which needs some welding. New door skins to start but there'll probably be more to do I'm sure... Anyway, I've been looking around at mig welders and was advised that I should look for something that'll do 0.6mm wire which is biggest gauge to be used for bodywork. Also...
