Great intro and the way to budget a Mini restoration is to add up all the costs and then double it and you should be close to the final figure.

Wonder if the shortened inlet will have the same effect as on my G13b,there is a noticeable difference in low down torque between the GT and the Esytate and it is not down to ratios as the GTi gearbox and the GLS gearbox have the same 1st,2nd and 3rd.But once you get over 5kRPM it is less noticeable...

The pre-booked rooms in the hotels are filling up so get those entries in if you want to stay with the main group.The is plenty of alternative accommodation in both towns as well.

No point in putting in a full 1/2 side of the floor if only the front is rusty.A 1/4 floor with the joint at the crossmember is the best way to go but if both front and rear sections are rusty then the 1/2 is the way to go.
