Last original shape mini

What year was the last classic shape mini produced. There's one a carzone and it's a 04. I thought they stopped around 2000.

I have a 94 Mini Sprite (1275cc) that I'm thinking of selling. Needs a small amount of work since it failed the NCT.

Apologies for hi-jacking your post, didn't mean to jump in like that.

You could be lucky with the NCT guy that tests the car. Although mine was a 94 they used the emission specs for a pre 94 car. It was only at the retest that they said it must have a cat.

Best of luck with it.

I've a 94 Sprite that went down on emissions as the previous owner removed the cat when the big sports exhaust was put on. Mark would the cat you have work on this. How much are you looking for.

Some rust on a door pillar and a sill and some small rust bubbles. One NCT inspector reckons there should be a Catalytic converter and another thinks not. Is a Cat a requirement on a 94 car?

Mini Mechanic Ballymahon/Longford

Could anyone recommend a mini mechanic in the Longford/Ballymahon area? Problem with CO emissions and one or two other minor things.

I have an full sports exhaust on a mini and they weren't bothered about it. They did tell me I needed a catalytic converter though as the emissions set of the alarm in the centre.
