Richmond is a godsend here in Ireland for a lot of parts that would otherwise have to come from the UK and therefore saving the added charges. I got ordered a parcel of bits and had it the next day.
Cant say fairer than that

Re: Brexit.part import
Over €150 and duty could start to apply to the parts depending on where they are manufactured under the rules of origin. No vat charged in the UK so you have to pay it here on the goods now. A small order would be ok like Colin says but a big order could have hefty charges.

That's great, i appreciate that. How did you manage that? I thought that a hosting site might have been easier given that i couldn't do it on here . Thanks again.

solenoid wiring
Hi does anyone have a picture of the wiring on the solenoid switch. The car is a 1979 mini 1000 and the previous owner was messing around with it because he couldn't get it to earth properly and im not all that sure of whats what on it or if anything is missing from the wiring. Cheers.

Re: Another Dodgy Mini
I think a nice Mk3 early 70's Mini looks great. Take Eamospud's '72 850, a super little car that has had twin carbs and a bigger exhaust fitted and it goes like stink. Nothing that can't be put back to standard if required. Each to their own I know but 6222 ZC is definitely a ringer. I agree, twin ...

Re: Another Dodgy Mini
Thats what i was thinking that a look under the bonnet could or would tell a lot. To my mind an original 1972 mini would be worth a tidy sum in todays market so i dont understand why you would make a rarish model look like every other mini from the latter years. I know that we all did it back in the...

Re: 1970's Mini.
There is the vin plate with the chassis number and engine number on the slam panel as you say. Spot welded to the slam panel on the opposite side is a rectangular plate with an another number that i have not cleaned up yet to see what it says on it.

I came across his site there the other day and he seems to have a good supply of panels and prices seem good too and like you say saves on postage. I will try and get down to him in Wexford and have a gander.
