No fuel consumption figures yet as the fuel gauge is dodgy
I'm not mechanically minded so I'll have to get out the Haines manual and check does pipes
The car is nippy enough and accelerates pretty well.....just seems to rut of steam at about 80kmph.
Thanks

Just wondering what I should be expecting in terms of performance, particularly top speed. I feel like it's pushing hard at about 80kmph. What is 'normal' for suc...

I have my recently purchased '96 Cooper sitting in the driveway....currently uninsured :( I bought the car as a second car. I've had a company car for the last 3.5 years and that's my daily driver. Hi, Thanks for the advice. Someone on the forum has actually had a look at that '78 car and filled me in. I'm looking for a daily driver and it would probably be unfair (and unwise) to put such an old car through a fairly lengthy daily commute. There was a super looking limited edition '96 Cooper SP...

Howya, I know little or nothing about Minis. My Mam had three of them at various times when I was growing up so I have an affection for them. In fact, I learnt to drive in one of them....and I remember they were fun to drive. Anyway, I'm looking to buy an 'old style' Mini. It will be my daily driver...
